What is the Visible Designers & Engineers Program?

Starting in late October, Visible Hands is launching the Visible Designers and Engineers program, which will entail 8-weeks of professional development programming for underrepresented talent in tech who are interested in exploring opportunities with early-stage, venture-backed startups. This program will be structured into two tracks, one dedicated to supporting designers and the other dedicated to supporting engineers. Apply now!
Who is this program for?
These tracks are for underrepresented designers or engineers who are interested in gaining exposure to tech companies early in their development. This program is ideal for those interested in gaining new skills with small, venture-backed companies or becoming a founder one day. Our tracks will allow individuals to learn from experts in the space and interact with diverse founders, including our inaugural cohort of Fellows.
What is the time commitment?
The program will run from October 25th — December 17th. Each track will include 1–2 hours of programming per week.
How many people will be accepted into each track?
Each track will have 25 individuals.
What is the structure of each track?
- Weekly seminars taught by experts and industry leaders around domain, skill-building, and exposure to what it’s like to join an early-stage startup as an engineer or designer
- Career advice and support from seasoned experts
- Curated networking opportunities to meet new mentors

This program is free for participants as VH is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive ecosystem in tech.
